This Chinese Keyboard types Chinese online in the Cangjie Input, Pinyin Input or Quick Input layout, each of which offers a candidate list as you type.

Cangjie input

As you type the Cangjie parts of a hanzi, suggested characters appear on the number keys. Clicking on one of the suggested characters or typing the corresponding number replaces the typed text with the character chosen.

Pinyin input

As you type the phonetic reading(pinyin) of a hanzi, suggested characters appear on the number keys. Clicking on one of the suggested characters or typing the corresponding number replaces the typed text with the character chosen.

Quick input

Quick is Cangjie shortened: type the first and last part of a hanzi and skip everything between. Two keystrokes reach any character, at the cost of more of them sharing a code, so expect a longer list of suggestions to choose from.

Use and keys to view the prev/next suggestions. The Space key can be used to select the first suggestion.

Traditional Chinese to Simplified Chinese Converter

Conversion from simplified Chinese to traditional Chinese happens automatically when the input mode changes from traditional to simplified Chinese.

In cases where a Traditional character has more than one Simplified form, the converted Simplified characters will be shown in brackets. For example, the conversion for will be shown as [余馀].

Simplified Chinese to Traditional Chinese Converter

Conversion from simplified Chinese to traditional Chinese happens automatically when the input mode changes from simplified to traditional Chinese.

In cases where a Simplified character has more than one Traditional form, the converted Traditional characters will be shown in brackets. For example, the conversion for will be shown as [復複覆].
